Getting started

You can be running in five minutes. Here's the path.

1. Create your org

Go to the home page and click Get started. Sign in with your work email. We'll send a magic link — no password.

The first time you sign in, we'll ask you to create an org. Pick a name and a slug. Your email domain becomes the org's auto-join domain — anyone else who signs in with the same domain joins the org automatically.

Note

You can have multiple orgs. The same email can be a member of more than one — useful if you work across companies or want to keep personal experiments separate from your work org.

2. Write your first charter

From the org dashboard, click New charter. You'll get an empty charter with all six sections ready to fill: purpose, focus areas, measures, decision rights, roles, guidelines.

We recommend starting with purpose and focus areas — they unlock the rest. A good purpose is one sentence. A good set of focus areas is 3 to 7 items, each 2 to 8 words. You can always come back and refine.

3. Share it

Every charter has a URL. By default, charters in an org are visible to org members. You can make a charter public in the share settings — anyone with the link can read it.

Press ⌘K from anywhere to jump between charters or run common actions.
